My name is Lou Martinez, and above all else, I am a follower of Christ.

Over the past 40+ years, God has allowed me to serve in many different seasons — through 24 years of military service in the United States Army, owning a restaurant, founding a nonprofit for at-risk youth, and serving as a Missions Pastor in Douglasville, GA. Each season poured out of me, and eventually, I faced burnout.

In His wisdom, God allowed a period of rest — one that included serious health challenges, including a heart attack. But even in that valley, He was working. I came to realize that His call on my life was not finished.

Out of that journey, Servant's Heart Local & Global Ministries was born — not as a formal institution, but as a Spirit-led movement to obey the Great Commission, support those already doing powerful work in hard places, and connect people with meaningful opportunities to serve. I'm not reinventing the wheel. I'm simply showing up wherever God opens the door.​
